Looking for hackers & fixers, broadcasters & bartenders, dock workers & dreamers? These are the people of Luridity Galaxy, and this Character Hub is where you'll find everything collected on them so far. Folks are split into 3 sections for now: Core Cast, Supporting Cast, and Honorary Mentions. Click if you want to jump ahead to a specific group.
Core Cast // Supporting Cast // Honorary Mentions
Each character page includes connections and an "as seen in" section, so you can find the people they work with, the places they haunt, the stories you can read about them, and the games where you can interact with them.
Currently, only folks from Centralvest Zone are listed, however more will be added to the hub over time--and at least the core characters will get full profiles linked from here--as the known galaxy expands.
The core cast is eclectic and weird--just the way we like it! This section lists the folks who star in one or more stories and games, who show up at every turn, as well as those who take center stage in stories and projects already in the queue/early access. Many live on the planet Timil, in the undercity called The Below. Down there, no one fights alone. And once you meet these folks, you'll understand why: their communities and found families don't leave people behind.
The Below's most enthusiastically omnipresent technical wizard and corporate nightmare. Here to help, though 'help' is entirely subjective. He's already decided you'll be perfect for a future, undetermined mission.
A woman who's rarely not running from the latest bounty on her head. Fate's most trusted 'agent', and also the one he harasses the most. She's never met an alcoholic beverage she didn't like--after the job is done.
Massive Serpentian with fuchsia scales and dapper clothing. Usually seen with a coil of rope at their waist, even if in a suit. They own The Cackling Cock on Qirial, & know everything and everyone.
Anxious foxKynd shifter who's stuck in his human form due to PTSD. Moved to Centralvest to start fresh, heal, & engage with people again. He believes he'll never shift again so he's rediscovering where he belongs. In a slow-burn relationship with Jet'l.
A young woman orphaned by a Sweep, who's never forgotten her roots. She runs the mobile radio station The Outlier Frequency with a mission to uplift The Below, hoping those who live under Timil City know they aren't alone.
The Outlier Frequency's grounded center & The Below's best mechanic and all-around repair tech. He's learning to be part of a community & doing penance for time he spent helping a corps undermine The Below's utility infrastructure.
The Outlier Frequency's sarcastic frontcat & 'corps goods redistributor'. She knows more about traversing The Below & The Upwards than most know about their own neighborhoods, & regularly liberates supplies from those who won't miss them.
Level C's favorite food provider runs an array of top-notch soup-n-steameries. Kappล is a Gilled with 4 tentacles, 2 humanoid arms, & zero tolerance for seeing people go hungry. He seems completely oblivious to the number of proposals thrown at his feet on the daily.
A young man whose spiked hair is augmented with color-changing cybernetics and whose shop on Level F has exactly the components you need. He's happiest buried in mountains of electronics. Often accepts barters instead of charging kitsch.
Owner of a karaoke bar on Level F and unofficial leader of his sector. He's fiercely protective, loyal, & highly empathic. He keeps his community & local markets running smoothly through sheer force of will and a devastating smile.
Highly strategic planner whose organizational skills will be invaluable to The Below. He finally asks enough questions to see the truth behind a carefully crafted corporate reality, & defects to Dred's community.
The supporting folks show up either in a single story, as a sideline character, or sneak in as recurring background characters. They may be friends or neighbors but they don't have a lot of stories they feel like telling on their own yet. They don't invade the website like so much of the core cast does, either. (Any villains worthy of a full bio'll get shoved down here too - unless y'all really fall in love with a baddie. ๐ฑ)
The Below's favorite doc: a guy who's at home wherever he goes so long as he's helping. By day, he runs a clinic at the lowest edge of the Upwards, treating those at risk of falling Below. By night, he takes house calls into the Below itself. His bedside manner is warm & gentle, & never judgey.
Torben is a hard-working, quiet ursaKynd with a heart of gleaming gold. He lives on the self-sufficient, rugged Level G of the Below by choice and runs a modified shuttle for a steady business of not only local deliveries but also cross-planetary ones. He's always on time. Always.
A fiercely loyal tigress with a good eye for bad eggs. She may wear tiny sparkly dresses but her big clompy boots'll bounce misbehaving jerks out the door before they realize she's deadly. She's the primary bartender at an elite BDSM club, where she found a family among the tightknit staff & a supportive patron in The Manager.
As far as anyone knows, The Manager is simply his name. He pulls innumerable strings, runs the Hard Knot & takes very good care of his staff and VIP clients. Speculation is rampant on the source of his wealth, but most find him too imposing to even dare ask the time.
One of the father figures for Soleil's (Elyrica's) found family in Sector 103, and a friend of Ruster. Definitely not involved in any power grid overloads that happen to coincide with sweeps. That would be acting against corps security! Partner of Corie.
Too curious for his own good, Cirrus is a wolfKynd corporate security recruit stationed at the Upwards boundary. He was there when his commanding officer defected, and now his indoctrination is wavering. Time will tell what his future holds.
One of the many crafters and creatives who take part in the Below's maker markets. She runs a resin & glass stall on Level C, painstakingly designing art pieces & mending broken things from both materials. Fled her homeworld to protect her bright blue miracle child, Ahz'bel, who camps out under the counter when he's not in school. Hopes his father is still alive, out there, somewhere.
Belle's child. He's half-Ardalu, half-Serpentian, and that unlikely pairing of bloodlines shows up in a miniature serpentian body with scales so blue they nearly glow in the dark. "Oz" adores his mama and his friends, and makes an unforgettable impression everywhere he goes--not just because of how he appears, but also because of his sweet and incredibly thoughtful disposition.
An otterKynd who takes charge of the Below's port bays. He manages manifests and people, ensuring folks are where they need to be to assist ships. Because he also helps with physical loading and unloading, he knows every ship, crew, pilot...and stowaway.
A jaguarKynd with modified claws that double as blades. By day, he's an upperclass manager, but he's by no means mild-mannered. By night, he's slinking through shadows to expose corps using questionable methods, at the behest of their competitors or for the good of working people--whoever's paying more. Appears in Barely a Scratch.
A loud, cheerful ursaKynd who's secretly an assassin. He does steady sales in above-board weapons in both the Below and the Upwards, (and steady illegal trades, for the right price), but in that boisterous role no one would think he's also capable of sniping from afar. His reasons, however, are his own. Appears in Barely a Scratch alongside Korraj.
Sector 7's repair pro & Bridger's sister. She has a habit of showing up just in time to read a dying machine its last rites. With a little luck, she'll manage to pull it back from the brink, which is how the water infrastructure for the Sectors she frequents has clung to life as long as it has.
Sector 7's man of logistics & multi-sector coordination of important goods, Relay's brother is far more of a people person than she is. He has never met a problem he couldn't think his way out of, nor a deal he couldn't come out on top of. He knows first-hand what a riled mob can do, and his life's mission is to broker peace everywhere he can.
Harsh words and full of grudges, she's a wolfKynd with bite. She's scarred from an incident in the past that she blames on another Sector's abandonment, and it's left her determined to ensure her Sector's survival. Atta may be slow to forgive and stubborn to a fault, but she shows up for her own. Mend's estranged sister.
A renowned engineer from the Below who can build anything from nothing and can fix everything with whatever's lying around, and who wants to solve every problem in her path. She's Atta's estranged sister but well-known to be the friendly one of the pair. The rift between sisters is as infamous as her skills.
One of Alex's lesbian roommates; all curls and smiles in a tiny curvy body. Gabbie's got zero chill about his love life and has quite an active one of her own. When she's off the clock, her party girl personality is large and in charge, full of energy and infectious joy.
One of Alex's lesbian roommates, Nev is decidedly quieter in her attempts to pry out his secrets, but no less successful than Gabbie in getting him to open up--despite her unwillingness to do the same herself. She specializes in tattoos that are cybernetically enhanced and often paired with augmented reality.
An independent Net mesh designer who builds bespoke, intimate virtual scenarios down to the teensiest grain of sand. She works gig to gig out of her two-room apartment with equipment she dreams of upgrading. Cicada is an artist of pleasure.
This section holds the characters who only have a scene or two or get mentioned in passing. They are (in some cases 'were') part of Luridity's whole, even if their own personal stories won't be told.
